    Customer Challenge

Three existing rooftop package units served the building and had reached the end of their service life. Removing and replacing rooftop equipment required crane work and careful coordination on an occupied commercial property.

    Our Recommendation

We recommended a full replacement of all three rooftop package units, with a new economizer and smoke detector installed on each system as part of the completed installation.

    Our Solution

Our installation team, Luis and Frank, coordinated the crane work to safely remove the existing equipment from the roof and set the new package units in place. Each new HVAC system was also equipped with a new economizer and smoke detector as part of the completed installation.

    Outcome

The commercial property now has three newly installed rooftop package HVAC systems providing updated heating, cooling, and ventilation for the building. The new economizers allow the systems to take advantage of suitable outdoor air conditions when appropriate, while the new smoke detectors provide additional safety controls for each HVAC system.

What the new economizers and smoke detectors add

Each of the three replacement rooftop package units was installed with a new economizer and a new smoke detector. The economizers allow the systems to take advantage of suitable outdoor air conditions when appropriate, and the smoke detectors provide additional safety controls for each HVAC system. Because the equipment sits on the roof of an occupied commercial property, crane removal and placement were coordinated in advance.

    Energy & Efficiency Notes

Three end-of-life rooftop units were replaced with new equipment and economizer control. Energy savings were not quantified for this project.

Actual energy use depends on the equipment, installation, ductwork, usage, and utility rates. We review expected performance for your specific system rather than quoting a fixed savings number.
