Air Care Heating & Cooling completed a furnace-to-heat-pump conversion in Foster City, CA 94404, removing the existing furnace and installing a new Bryant heat pump after coordinating the installation approach with the homeowner’s HOA.
The homeowner wanted to replace an old furnace with a heat pump, but the installation required HOA approval, which took extensive discussion and coordination. The proposed electrical routing also needed attention, since the homeowner wanted as little exposed, visible electrical as possible.
Air Care recommended replacing the existing furnace with a Bryant heat pump and revising the proposed electrical routing to reduce the amount of visible electrical, while working within the HOA-approved approach.
After extensive discussion with the HOA, approval was obtained. During that process, the team found a better route for the electrical so the least amount would be exposed and visible. Adrian and Luis removed the old furnace, installed the new Bryant heat pump, and used the revised electrical route with less exposed electrical.
The home now has a new Bryant heat pump in place of the old furnace, installed with a cleaner electrical routing approach, and the HOA approval process was successfully resolved.

During diagnosis of the Mitsubishi heat pump, he found a rodent nest inside the outdoor unit, a chewed thermistor and a shorted circuit board.
