    Customer Challenge

The homeowner had recently moved into the San Jose home and was dealing with an HVAC system that was approximately 20 years old. The existing system was not working or turning on. Air Care sent a technician to evaluate the equipment and overall HVAC system. After reviewing the repair costs and existing design issues with the homeowner, the homeowner chose to replace the system rather than proceed with the repair.

    Our Recommendation

Based on the condition of the existing system, the repair costs, and the design concerns identified during the evaluation, Air Care provided the homeowner with a replacement option. The project included installing a new heat pump system, replacing the existing ductwork with all-new ductwork, and creating two comfort zones within the home.

    Our Solution

Adolph and Chris removed the existing HVAC equipment as required for the replacement and installed the new heat pump system. Air Care also replaced the existing ductwork with an all-new duct system. The new HVAC system was configured with two comfort zones within the home, allowing the home to be divided into two separate comfort areas.

    Outcome

The homeowner now has a new heat pump system connected to an all-new duct system with two comfort zones within the home. Instead of investing in repairs to the approximately 20-year-old system, the homeowner chose to replace the HVAC system and address the existing duct and system-design concerns as part of the project.
