    Customer Challenge

As part of a larger home remodel, the existing HVAC had to be fully replaced. The home was being heated and cooled by two aging furnaces and two air conditioning systems, with ductwork serving both the upstairs and downstairs. Comfort varied between floors, and the wine cellar had no dedicated temperature control of its own.

    Our Recommendation

To support the home remodel and improve airflow, efficiency, and comfort throughout the home, our installation team recommended replacing both systems with Bryant Evolution variable-speed heat pumps, replacing the ductwork serving the upstairs and downstairs, and adding a communicating Evolution zoning system with three separate comfort zones.

    Our Solution

During the home remodel, we removed the two existing furnaces and air conditioning systems and installed two Bryant Evolution variable-speed heat pump systems with new upstairs and downstairs ductwork. We installed a communicating Bryant Evolution three-zone control system, and added a ducted WhisperKOOL cooling system for the home’s wine cellar, providing dedicated temperature control designed specifically for wine storage.

    Outcome

As part of the completed home remodel, the homeowner now has a fully upgraded heating and cooling system with high-efficiency heat pump technology, improved ductwork, three-zone temperature control, and dedicated wine cellar cooling. The new system allows each zone to be controlled based on the needs of the space.

Why this remodel used zoning and dedicated wine cellar cooling

This project was designed around a whole-home remodel. Replacing the two aging systems with Bryant Evolution variable-speed heat pumps and a communicating three-zone control system allows each zone of the home to be controlled based on the needs of the space. The wine cellar is served by its own ducted WhisperKOOL system, providing dedicated temperature control designed specifically for wine storage.

    Energy & Efficiency Notes

Two furnaces and two air conditioners were replaced with two variable-speed heat pump systems. Energy savings were not quantified for this project.

Actual energy use depends on the equipment, installation, ductwork, usage, and utility rates. We review expected performance for your specific system rather than quoting a fixed savings number.
