    Customer Challenge

The home relied on an older gas furnace and air conditioner paired with aging ductwork. Even with new equipment, the existing duct system could not properly distribute conditioned air throughout the house.

    Our Recommendation

Rather than replacing equipment alone, we recommended a complete comfort system: a high-efficiency heat pump, an entirely new R-8 insulated duct system, balancing dampers, and a new attic fan to exhaust accumulated attic heat.

    Our Solution

Mark and Juan removed the existing furnace, air conditioner, and old ductwork, then installed a new high-efficiency heat pump system along with an entirely new R-8 insulated duct system designed to properly distribute conditioned air. Balancing dampers were installed so airflow can be adjusted throughout the house so each area can receive the appropriate amount of conditioned air rather than relying on the equipment alone to solve comfort issues. A new attic fan was added to help exhaust heat from the attic.

    Outcome

The homeowner now has more than just new HVAC equipment — they have a complete comfort system. The new heat pump provides efficient heating and cooling, while the R-8 ductwork and balancing dampers help deliver proper airflow throughout the house. The new attic fan also helps remove excess heat from the attic, completing a comprehensive upgrade designed around the home’s overall comfort and performance.

The new attic fan installed on this project is part of our attic fan installation services.

Why the ductwork and dampers were part of this project

Even with new equipment, the existing duct system could not properly distribute conditioned air throughout the house, so the project included an entirely new R-8 insulated duct system alongside the heat pump. Balancing dampers allow airflow to be adjusted throughout the home, and the new attic fan helps exhaust accumulated heat from the attic itself.
