An AC in San Jose’s Almaden area was not coming on. Air Care technician Fernando diagnosed a failed capacitor, installed and secured a tested replacement, cleaned the outdoor unit, and verified system operation and supply-air temperature after the repair.

Air Care Heating & Cooling completed scheduled AC maintenance for a Gold Club member in Sunnyvale, CA 94087. As part of the Gold Club maintenance visit, Brian cleaned and inspected the system to help identify potential problems before they could lead to an unexpected loss of cooling. During the maintenance inspection, Brian found that the system’s dual capacitor was testing outside of the manufacturer’s factory specification. The capacitor was replaced during the visit rather than leaving a known out-of-spec component in service, helping reduce the chance of the air conditioning system experiencing a capacitor-related failure during hot summer weather.
